Designed to appeal to the ever-more lucrative American market, Maserati introduced the Sebring in 1962 as a 2+2 coupe. Ideal for grand touring across the growing U.S. motorway system, it was dubbed “Sebring” in celebration of the marque’s victory at the famed 12 Hours of Sebring motorsport endurance race in 1957. With 235 hp available from the car’s inline-six cylinder engine fitted with Lucas indirect fuel injection, the Sebring was capable of a 0-60 mph time of 8.5 seconds, leading to a top speed of 145 mph. Furthermore, it was fitted with disc brakes as standard to help reel in the speed.
The magnificent 1965 Maserati Sebring 3500 GTi Series I Coupe featured here is finished in gorgeous Rosso Cordoba (Dark Red) over Nero (Black) leather. This motorcar was subject to refurbishing at the cost of over $134,000 and was recently featured in the New England 1000 rally. Special attention to upgrades in drivability makes this Sebring one of the best drives on the market today. I personally believe the investment potential of this low production model will grow beyond your imagination. I am pleased to offer this 1965 Maserati Sebring 3500 GTi Series I Coupe to the most sophisticated collector, investor, or enthusiast with an understanding and appreciation for the investment potential of this fantastic classic.
