Here is your opportunity to own a true piece of Blues Brothers History!

The World Famous Chicago Bluesmobile. The ONE and ONLY Genuine, No Imitation, “Official Bluesmobile of Chicago” As Recognized By Blues Brothers Approved Ventures (Dan Aykroyd & Judy Belushi).

Personally driven by Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi during multiple promotional appearances as the Blues Brothers. This is about as close as you can get to owning a REAL, officially sanctioned Bluesmobile, especially since none of the movie used Bluesmobiles survived filming!

If that weren’t enough, The Chicago Bluesmobile has been featured in the following TV shows and magazines:

Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee with Jerry Seinfeld and Seth Rogen (Season 11; Episode 2)

Mike Brewers World of Cars (Season 1; Episode 4)

A Very Chicago New Years (WMAQ NBC5 Chicago)

Growing Belushi (Season 2; Episode 3)

Rolling Stone Magazine (France)

Raydar Magazine (UK)

Chicago Magazine (Chicago, IL)

And several others!

This Bluesmobile started life as a 1976 Dodge Royal Monaco. It came from the factory with a 400 c.i. big block that currently has 86,000 original miles (subject to change) . A-727 transmission, power steering, power brakes, and A/C (doesn’t hold a charge for long, needs condenser replaced).

Mechanically the car runs and drives amazing. I have personally driven this car across the country multiple times without hesitation and she has never let me down.

I replaced the non-original Thermoquad with an Edelbrock 650-CFM 4bbl carburetor with electric choke. Also installed at the same time was a carburetor spacer and a push-pull pump to help with hot starts. I upgraded the alternator to a Powermaster 95amp unit with internal regulator, a new starter, and an Optima red top battery keeps the charging system happy.

Last fall before a long road trip I gave her a complete tune-up plus replaced the original ignition control module. I used all high end NAPA replacement parts.

New KYB front shocks and Monroe rear coil overs plus Hankook Kinergy ST tires were installed in the fall of 2020 and have approximately 5000 miles on them if that.

Pitman and idler arms were replaced and the vehicle was aligned spring of 2022.

Powers steering pump and upgraded steering gear box upgraded this year as well.

Custom stainless steel dual exhaust with Hemi performance mufflers by Accurate exhaust.

Yep, that’s right the roof speaker comes with it too! Speaker will function with a compression driver and an amp, but chose external Bluetooth speakers and PA system.

Extra Items: included with the car is brand new black carpeting that has never been installed, still in box. Headlight relay wiring kit still in box.

NOT INCLUDED: The Chicago Bluesmobile naming rights, domain names, social media accounts, etc. Vehicle can no longer be referred to as The Chicago Bluesmobile for publicity or promotions after transfer of sale.

This vehicle is extremely solid, no rust other than a couple of bubbles starting in the rear quarters. Trunk, floors, firewall, subframes are all extremely solid.

Known issues: Drivers seat fabric splitting from vinyl on the side bolster area, may be able to stitch back in place. Weather stripping could use replacing. Keeps water out, but they are original and get beat up when roof speaker is mounted. Crack in upper right corner of windshield, in the blue tinted area. Cannot see from outside.

This vehicle is not a trailer queen! She’s been driven far and wide, and has had 1000’s of fans sit in and on top of her! But she is dependable! Never once has she left me stranded.
