2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS Indy Pace Car No. 12

One of 25 Made – One Owner – 719 Original Miles

Garage Kept Motors is pleased to offer this rare and REAL 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS Indy Pace Car. This car is one of 25 made for actual Pace Car duties in the world famous Indianapolis 500 Race, which ran on May 24, 2009. Since 2010 marked the first year of the new 5th Generation Camaro, this was one of the first Camaros ever seen in public.

Chevrolet also produced a limited run of a “Production Model” of the pace cars for sale to the public. There were only 294 of the “Production Model” pace cars which were finished in Inferno Orange Pearl Metallic. The biggest differences between the 25 Pace Cars and the “production model” pace cars was the color, grille, graphics, and the most importantly, the number of them made. This Silver SS No. 12 Pace Car is a collector Camaro to the highest degree.

The car was purchased brand new through Penske Chevrolet in Indianapolis, the birthplace of the Indy 500. It has been in a local Michigan man’s Camaro collection since new and only 719 miles have been put on it, mainly driven to local shows. It is the top car in the collection and 100-percent original. All the original documentation accompanies the sale as well. The car is powered by a L99 6.2L/400HP LS3 engine mated to a Tremec 6-speed transmission. It is a nicely optioned Camaro SS with Brembo 4-Wheel Disc Brakes, AC, Keyless Entry, Remote Start, Alloy Wheels, Rear Spoiler, Auxiliary Gauges, and more.

GM built the car specifically for the Indy 500. This Pace Car is number 12 of the 25 specced for race duties.
