Vintage style on the outside, custom comfort on the inside, and a fuel-injected LY upgraded under the hood w/overdrive transmission make this 1966 Chevrolet C10 Restomod the kind of truck where they sweated all the details. So you get to skip right ahead to pure enjoyment.
There’s just something awesome about this generation of C10. Chevy designed these with large style line that hugs the hood and then wraps around as it runs the full length of the profile. You can see it so nicely here thanks to straight panels and the modern clearcoat luster of the light blue paint. Plus, the white that highlights the style line on the side is joined by the white roof for a classic two-tone. You can really tell this is a quality restoration by everything from the shine of the bumpers to the real wood of the truck bed. But those 20-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels on a lowered suspension give this a modern stance that also indicates they invested in more than just vintage style on this one.
The hints of white on the outside get you ready for the white inside on the seat and dash. This is joined by a sensible black in high traffic areas for a timeless and practical look. The bench seat has a vintage style, but the new foam is contorted for comfort, and there’s even a fold-down armrest for individual space. There are all the right upgrades, like an AM/FM/CD stereo w/upgraded speakers. The sports steering wheel is on a tilt column, and so you get an excellent view of the upgraded gauges, including the large speedo and tach.
While the upgrade to the interior and exterior are subtle, you cannot disguise the upgrade under the hood. The 5.3-liter Vortec V8 is a modern fuel-injected wonder that dependably delivers big power. The installation of this powerful heart is so clean it looks like it belonged here since day one. Plus, you have the right additional components, like an Airaid air intake, large aluminum radiator, and easy access to the ECM. As you look underneath this truck, everything from the H-pipe dual exhaust to the trailing arm rear suspension look fresh. So this one was really built to enjoy. In fact, the four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, power steering, and upgraded four-wheel power disc brakes combine for a great anytime driving package.
