1996 Chevrolet Corvette, Collectors Edition
This vehicle is in excellent condition for its age. The engine was rebuilt less than 40k miles ago with no aftermarket parts used, no cylinder boring, and the computer was replaced 40 miles ago (only OEM replacements). The engine and drivetrain are very solid, and the showroom fresh power is noticeably still present. The body is in excellent shape showing minimal wear, all badges and logos are present and look good. Interior is in good condition, normal wear on the leather seats and the carpet, there are no cracked plastic pieces anywhere and there looks to be many miles worth of wear yet to go before replacing anything. All electronics and gauges are in working order except for the high beam indicator lamp. The climate control system is in excellent condition, ice cold air, and reliable heat, entertainment center has AM/FM Cassette and CD. Power seats and mirrors work well.
Now the full disclosure: Tires are fair and will need to be replaced soon. The brakes operate well but are bumpy, the rotors and linings will also need to be replaced sooner rather than later. The left rear fender has a small chip in the paint. The glass top is a bit hazy and will need to be restored. Door gaskets and rear hatch gaskets are 22 years old, nuf said.
Why we’re selling it: I have back issues that are getting worse with age, and since this vehicle sits so low to the ground I have difficulty getting in and out.
We have a low selling price due to the work I mentioned, but if it doesn’t get sold within a reasonable timeframe I will make the repairs and reflect that in the new price when relisted.
